Gasparilla Island

A lovely day trip destination is Gasparilla Island State Park, where you'll find a pristine beach. There, you can enjoy absolute peace and quiet. While there are tourists on Gasparilla Island, they are manageable. Mass tourism is absent.

Like many islands in southwest Florida, there is a toll to visit Gasparilla Island State Park.

Although cars are allowed here, tourists mostly travel by golf cart. The small town center with its shops and restaurants is well worth a visit.

The best way to get there from Cape Coral is to take Burnt Store Road north to Route 41. Turn left for a few miles and when you see the ALDI store on your left, turn left at the next traffic light.

Then the island is signposted.
