Publix

Publix is the classic supermarket with fruit, vegetables, meat, fish, beverages, and everything you need for a meal. There are five stores in Cape Coral. The closest Publix to you is at the corner of Cape Coral Pkwy and Chiquita Blvd. (about 4 km away). This Publix specializes in German cuisine. Here you'll find Gouda cheese, salami, and rolls, among other things.

Aldi

These are Aldi Süd branches with many items that we also know from German Aldi markets.

Like in Germany, it's a discount store offering products at reasonable prices. Much cheaper than Publix. A good selection of sausages, cheeses, meats, fruits, and vegetables. The nearest Aldi to Villa Oasis is 1481 SW Pine Island Road.

Farmer Joe's

Right next to Aldi on Pine Island Road is an upscale deli. It's very large, albeit expensive, but definitely worth a visit. In the morning, you can sample something at the many stands. Top-quality, affordable deals are also available.

Walmart

A somewhat more affordable alternative to Publix is Walmart. The giant store at 1619 Del Prado Blvd. is open 24 hours a day, every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

In addition to all kinds of food, you can find almost everything here: household goods, leisure items, clothing, garden centers, hardware stores, toys, decorative items, electrical and electronic goods.

Liquor Store

Publix and Walmart supermarkets sell wine, sparkling wine, and beer. High-proof spirits like rum, gin, and liqueur are only available in licensed stores. Alcohol and cigarettes are only legal in the US for those over 21. Don't be surprised if you're asked for ID. The nearest store is next to Publix on Barbara Blvd.

Walgreen

These markets are comparable to our drugstores like DM or Rossmann. However, you'll also find over-the-counter medications and a separate section for prescription drugs.

Total Wine & More

This is a liquor store with a huge selection in Fort Myers 13711 S Tamiami Trail.

Here you'll find alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and everything that goes with them. German beers and spirits are also available.

Saturday mornings from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cape Coral Downtown SE 47th Terrace

Surfside Sunset Market

Tuesdays from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Shopping malls

Edison Mall

A beautiful and large shopping center with five department stores and 135 shops and restaurants. Highly recommended, it's also suitable for bad weather, as it's completely covered.

Fort Myers' largest shopping center is located on US 41 = Cleveland Avenue.

Miromar Outlets

140 top designer stores, many sports shops (Nike, Adidas, Reebok, etc.) often sell at reasonable prices.

A trip is worthwhile. Don't be surprised, the Miromar Outlet is largely German-owned. It's easily accessible via Highway 75 toward Miami.

Coconut Point

Coconut Point is located near the Miromar Outlet and also has 140 stores. The stores are a bit smaller, but all very nicely laid out.

Waterside Shops in Naples

This shopping center is very worthwhile. While it's home to exclusive designer stores, it's still worth a stroll. The wonderful decorations (especially during Christmas) are worth seeing. The beautiful restaurants also invite you to linger.

It takes about an hour by car from Cape Coral and can be easily combined with the city of Naples.

The "Fleamaster's Fleamarket" in Fort Myers invites you to browse. Open Friday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A huge site and definitely worth seeing.
